Meeting Summary

  • A petition to change the boundary to the Parish is available for signature at Coleorton Post Office.
  • The Parish Council has a Crime Prevention Champion and some crime prevention devices available. More details on our crime prevention page.
  • The Parish Council is concerned about the speed of traffic on the A512 and has written to LCC to raise these concerns. The Parish Council is not allowed to erect speed activated signs on this highway.
  • The sign in the Millennium Garden has been re-painted and re-installed.
  • Matched funding in principal was agreed for a blue badge for historic sites and a World War One centenary celebration at Viscount Beaumont School
  • The war memorial is scheduled to be cleaned on 24th April
  • Forest Schools are being held at Coleorton Wood and New Lount Nature Reserve on a regular basis
  • Three crimes were reported in the parish in the month of March (see police reports below)
  • Next Meeting: will be the Annual Parish Meeting and AGM on Thursday 24 May 2018 7.00pm at The Beaumont Centre, Peggs Green
