Parish Council Meeting

Thursday 23rd October 2014

Summary Report

  1. The Council co-opted a new Councillor, Martin Farrand who lives in Farm Town, to fill the vacancy.
  2. The thinning work in Coleorton Wood has taken longer than planned but is being done in sections so that as little of the Wood as possible is closed at any time. Please continue to heed the safety notices.
  3. The potholes on Pitt Lane have been filled and the Council is happy with the result. It should now be a lot safer to drive to the Wood.
  4. The Council deliberated whether or not to have hanging baskets erected around the parish. Unfortunately, a large number would be needed so the cost was considered to be too high in the current financial climate.
  5. The Millennium Sign is missing because it has split. We have the sections and it will be fixed soon.
  6. The War Memorial should be cleaned in time for the Remembrance Day service on 9th November.
  7. Next meeting: 4th December, Beaumont Centre, 7.30pm
