  • Plant Sale Saturday 19 May New Lount Nature Reserve, Newbold, LE67 8JH. 10.00am - 1.00pm. Reasonably priced plants, garden planters, ornaments, etc. Tea & coffee.All proceeds go towards buying more tools for the Coleorton & New Lount Volunteer Group. Everyone welcome.   • Guided Walk - Ancient Coal Mines to New Woodland. Sunday 27 May - part of the National Forest Walking Festival. Leisurely walk 2 miles with 2 stiles, lasts 2 hours. Start 2.00pm at Hough Mill, St George's Hill, Swannington LE67 8QW. No charge, but donations to the Swannington Heritage Trust welcome. We will pass the sites of Bell Pits, Gin Pits, Victorian Mining, 1940s Opencast Mining and Woodlands planted between 1993 and 2010. Also, the Mill will be open for viewing.   • Guided walk along the Coleorton Railway and Jessop's Tramway Monday 28 May. Part of the National Forest Walking Festival. We'll follow the line of Jessop's 1794 Tramway from the Swannington Coalfield to near Thringstone Wharf. We then continue along the Ivanhoe Way heading to the New Lount nature reserve. 6.5 miles, 4 hours and 25+ stiles. Bookings essential, please call 07474 610 112 or email swanningtonwalks@gmail.com.   • Monday 18 June NWLDC Funding Fair at Hood Park, Ashby, for Voluntary, Community or Social Enterprise organisations. Two sessions 9:45am ? 12pm and 12:45pm ? 3pm. The am and pm sessions are the same so you only need to book onto one. Various funders will be there including SHIRE grant team, Heritage Lottery Fund and Big Lottery Fund.
